Personal Attention Senior Services (PASS)
At Better Aging Wellness we clearly understand the choice of seniors to remain in their homes in comfortable and familiar surroundings. According to recent surveys 87 percent of adults over 65 want to remain in their homes as they age. As a result many adult children are caring for a parent from afar.
If you live more than an hour’s drive from the person for whom you care, you’re considered a long-distance caregiver, according to the National Institute on Aging. Whether it’s across the state or the nation, orchestrating care at a distance presents emotional and logistical challenges. Long-distance caregivers often have trouble finding appropriate resources for their loved one. This is not only frustrating, but it can take up time you really don’t have to spare. Knowing who and where you can turn to for help is essential.

For this reason Better Aging Wellness offers services that provides seniors and their long-distance caregivers with in-home help for challenges that they may face. MAE provides door-through-door services, meaning that unlike a mere transportation service we are companions for medical visits; we're there every step of the way. If appropriate, we remain present during the consultation so that we can act as an extra set of eyes and ears, helping your loved one remember and ensuring follow-up care instructions are clearly understood and implemented. Following the appointment, we can also take care of any prescription needs with the client's local pharmacy.
